The platform manages in-person training, virtual classrooms and asynchronous modules from the same interface. In-person session management (sign-in sheets, waiting lists, room booking) is natively integrated. For remote learning, Totara can connect to Microsoft Teams and others.

Totara structures certification paths and tracks them over time. Certificates are issued after assessment validation. Recertification deadlines are configured in advance: the platform sends reminders and generates compliance reports.

Totara integrates an adaptive learning engine: paths can evolve according to learner progress. Connected AI engines assist content production: quiz generation from PDFs, writing learning objectives, image creation.

Totara features highly advanced reporting capabilities. The platform offers four report types: Admin reports, Embedded reports, User-generated reports and Course reports. Each is exportable, viewable as a chart and schedulable for automatic delivery. Each user profile sees the relevant indicators.

Totara connects to your HRIS via HR Import to synchronize employee data and automate path assignments. The platform supports SSO via OAuth2 with Microsoft, Google or other identity providers. Other third-party integrations are available.

▲ iOS and Android mobile app

The Totara mobile app provides access to training on any device, including offline thanks to the offline SCORM player. Notifications keep learners informed. Each user has a personalized portal based on their learning path.

▲ Engagement and gamification

Badges, leaderboards, and rewards are available natively. Additional gamification mechanics can be activated as needed. Forums, integrated messaging, and collaborative spaces complement these features to foster peer learning and sustained engagement.
